About Alex Rogers, founder and President of Proteinfactory.com
In 1998, at the age of 25, Alex Rogers incorporated Theta Brothers Sports Nutrition Inc DBA as Proteinfactory.com. At that time virtually all whey protein powders were made up of whey protein concentrate. Alex Rogers saw an opportunity to offer a better form of whey protein by selling whey protein isolate. Alex packaged this powder in his garage and attempted to sell it to retail stores. The retail stores that did distribute his whey isolate sold very little. Thus Alex began to sell his product online. Without a website, Alex would post on internet forums that he had bulk whey protein isolate for sale. Virtually overnight, Alex would begin to sell hundreds of pounds of whey protein isolate. Alex then began to offer more protein powders such as egg white protein powder, casein protein powder, hydrolyzed whey protein and more. Then the idea came to Alex to offer customization of his protein powders. Customization meant that the retail buyers would be able to choose the exact amounts of their ingredients and make their own formula. As years went by and his company grew, Alex was able to offer protein powders and supplement marketing ideas that were never offered or seen by the retail customer before. For example:
Blood plasma protein was first offered by Proteinfactory.com. This protein was made from the blood serum of bovine cattle. Rich in immunoglobulins and other protein subfraction beneficial for health and muscle recovery.
Peptopro was first offered by Proteinfactory.com. This was the first extreme low molecular weight hydrolyzed casein protein powder.
