Say goodbye to SARMS (Select Androgen Receptor Modulators). Just two days ago Senator Orrin Hatch proposed a bill that would put SARMS into the same classifications as anabolic steroids. Which means it is like selling crack cocaine as far as the legalities go, you’re going to jail if you sell it and getting hit with hefty fines. Not that I disagree with him, as these substances are drugs, not supplements. It is a shame to because SARMS could have stayed off the government’s radar if some idiotic supplement companies did not start selling them as supplements. The problem is that some “supplement” companies have taken SARMS and labeled them as supplements. This is wrong without a doubt. You cannot label something as a supplement when you know damn well it is a drug. Look, if you’re a good customer of mine and a reader of my blog posts you might be laughing right now and saying to yourself…who would think that SARMS are supplements? Unfortunately, Proteinfactory is a very small company and I don’t reach a lot of people. Therefore I do get a lot of people asking me about SARMS and if this supplement (wrong it is a drug) is safe or not. In addition, I called a local supplement shop here in New Jersey and asked them if they sell SARMS, their answer, “yes we do”. And that is the problem. These idiot supplement stores selling SARMS to every, Tom, Dick, and Harry, that walks into their place wanting to grow muscle. You cannot sell someone SARMS without telling them, this is not a supplement, this is a drug. Not only that, but it is manufactured on the grey market. I even had a television news station from Florida ask me about these SARMS supplements. I told them, no SARMS are drugs, not supplements. So why do people do this that sell SARMS? Are they dumb, are they trying to scam people? I think it could be for several reasons. I think it could be a combination of all of them. You have some companies that put SARMS into pills or capsules with fancy labels and turn it into a supplement. Then you have some companies that sell them as research chemicals and put on the label, “Not for human consumption”. Therefore you have one company that is violating the CFR 111’s for dietary supplements by selling a product that is an unapproved drug or dietary supplement. Kinda of like when a company puts Viagra in a product and label it as a supplement. Then you have another company that clearly knows SARMS are drugs and puts on their website, in some cases a pop up…not for human consumption.
The end result is that the supplement industry has done this to themselves. Just like prohormones, SARMS will be up in smoke like a fart in the wind. I would predict in less than 6 months you will not be able to buy them anymore. If you want to buy SARMS, even though I do not recommend using them, I would get them from Proven Peptides. This is the only place that I’m aware of that conducts 3rd Party Lab testing. Which means, he gets the product, send it out to the lab for testing, and proves what is on the label is in the bottle. This is the only way to be safe because like I said above. ALL SARMS are produced by underground labs.
